Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was not left behind in congratulating Harambee Stars following their 3-2 win over Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Joho through his Facebook account congratulated the players for the win and hoisting Kenya’s flag high.
The Governor also thanked Kenyans for standing behind Harambee Stars which pushed them to register their first win at AFCON.
Governor Joho also recognized Michael Olunga for scoring two goals in the match as Kenya hopes to qualify for the last 16.
Simon Msuva scored in the sixth minute to give Harambee Stars its first goal while Michael Olunga scored in the 37th minute and the winner in the 79th minute.
Harambee Stars who are tied with Senegal have three points and need to get at least one point in their next fixture, in order to qualify for the AFCON round of 16 stage.
