This follows the Monday swoop that saw top officials nabbed after being linked to the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Mr Sammy Naporos has since been appointed to steer the firm in an acting capacity. He arrived at the firm's offices in Eldoret on Thursday before officially taking over on Friday.

He takes over from Francis Kipkech who has been holding the position on an interim basis.

Kipkech took over from former Managing Director David Kimosop, who was also named in the scandal, leading to his exit.

Kipkech is among the 15 officials who were arrested on Monday, alongside former National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary Mwangi Thugge.

The duo was kicked out after their arraignment in court and release on bail on Tuesday.

David Kimosop who had been out of the country during the swoop was nabbed upon landing at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Friday and will spend the weekend in police custody pending his arraignment on Monday.

KVDA currently stands in the middle of the scandal estimated to have cost the taxpayer billions of shillings.
