President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace.
The head of state was among the guests who had a meal with the duo. President Kenyatta was in London to attend UK-African summit. The head of state was joined by different leaders from the African continent.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta last evening attended a reception for the Heads of State participating in the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London. The reception was hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton at Buckingham Palace,” State House tweeted.
During his tour in the UK, Uhuru promised to support private investors. He asked the investors from the country to consider Kenya as a top destination for them. The President noted that his government will create a conducive environment for all investors before he leaves power.
“We have tremendously improved the ease of doing business in Kenya. I think Kenya is now the third most attractive investment destination on the African continent,” the President said.
He added: “This is in line with our policy of recognizing that we need to deal with all obstacles that prevent businesses from partnering with us to achieve our development objectives.”
The president bagged Sh170 billion deals during the tour.
