Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has told off leaders holding meetings at La Mada Hotel over alleged intimidation of Kalenjin leaders ahead of 2022.
According to Cheruiyot, Kalenjin leaders have a right to speak about the challenges facing the community and seek solutions.
Cheruiyot argues that Ruto is will not just seek for Kalenjin votes but from every Kenyan across the country.
"Kalenjins won't be on the ballot in 2022. William Ruto will present his credentials like any other qualified kenyan and seek support allover including ours. The monkey business of LaMurder types hawking fear down on us whenever we address issues affecting our people should cease," tweeted Cheruiyot on Friday.
A few months ago, there were claims that a section of Mt Kenya leaders and heads of parastatals held night meetings at La Mada where they allegedly plotted to assassinate the DP.
Trade CS Peter Munya alongside Joe Mucheru (ICT), Sicily Kariuki (Health) and James Macharia (Transport) came under fire for the meetings.
However, they rubbished these claims saying their meetings were meant to discuss various issues touching on development.
