Bini says this will prevent loss of innocent lives through accidents.

"I want to call upon motorists to drive cautiously during this festive season and avoid driving at high speed putting in mind they are carrying people," he said in Eldoret town on Wednesday pointing out that many people have died on the road due to recklessness and speeding.

"Let us observe traffic rules and ensure that we don't drink and drive since these are the major causes of accidents," he added.

The CIPK Uasin Gishu chairman further called on the traffic police to stay vigilant and arrest motorist violating the traffic rules.

This he said, will minimize road accidents that are always high during festive seasons.

He also called on Kenyans to think of the less fortunate during this festive season by giving them the little they have noting that it's high time they thought of the poor and the elderly in society instead of focusing on themselves.
