Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed has mocked politicians who were teargassed at Kilimani police station after Moses Kuria's arrest, saying that the government must deal with them.
In a tweet on Sunday, the legislature referred to the small group as a militia group that the government must deal with since they are causing unexpected chaos in police stations.
"The Government must deal with this militia called Tangatanga throughly and maintain law and order. We cannot allow a small militia from Central and Rift Valley to create chaos in our police stations," Junet said.
The MPs that were teargassed include; Kandara MP Alice Wahome, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wa, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro and Nyali MP Mohammed Ali .
They were teargassed during their camping at Kilimani police station following the arrest of MP Moses Kuria, whom the officer had refused to set him free despite that there was a court order that demanded the legislature to be released on a cash bail of ksh. 50,000.
"They have teargassed us ruthlessly and smashed some of our vehicles inside Kilimani Police Station as we tried to have them obey a court order on Hon Moses Kuria's release. Members of the press were not spared either," Ndidi Nyoro said.
However, Gatundu south MP Moses Kuria was released on Saturday on a cash bail of Sh20,000.
