De’ Mathew died in a road accident on Sunday August 18, 2019, three days after her daughter only identified as Lucy had a dream about the accident.

“Let me say in front of you all. Three days before he died, I had a terrific dream that my real dad had an accident and the accident was about him having a roundabout and the car got on fire. I never knew that it could be real. I prayed out the whole rosary at night. I could even say I am okay and yet inside I was not okay,” she told stunned mourners among them President Uhuru Kenyatta.

She continued, “Daddy wherever you are, know that I never knew that the dream could be true. People say that dreams no longer come true but I never knew that this one could be one.”

The fallen musician was one of the most celebrated entertainers in Gikuyu land for several years.
