Pollack is away for the Christmas festivities, having left the country for Britain last week, and is expected back on Monday.

However, his assistant Patrick Odhiambo has said this will not have any effect, expressing readiness to lead the Kenya Premier League giants to scooping all the 3 points.

In an interview with Nation, Odhiambo said even in Pollack's absence, Kogalo will stick to its winning mentality as they face Rangers.

“I believe the absence of our coach won’t affect us because we have been approaching games with a wining mentality. Our aim is to win and widen the gap as we enter the New Year," he said.

He further noted that Pollack's return date should not be a topic of discussion, adding that the main issue should be an impressive performance.

“I will take charge for our game against Posta and hand over to the coach when he comes back. Our aim is to win and not to engage in a debate on whether he would be back or not, because he communicated his position on that issue,” he added.

The team has also been facing some financial challenges, which are said to be the reason behind the departure of strikers; Yikpe Ghislain who has joined Yanga SC of Tanzania, and Ghanaian Francis Afiriye who has traveled back home.

The 'Green Army' has retained a good performance despite its financial woes.
