Twenties is when people make most of their bad decisions however, no one expects you to be perfect. If anything, this is when you should give yourself the opportunity to grow, try out new things, make mistakes and party the weekends away. Twenties are when most people discover themselves and this at times may end up being a little bit scary.
1. Don’t be perfect.
No one in their right mind will ever expect a person in his/her twenties to be perfect. Make mistakes and learn from them these lessons might actually help you when you get to your thirties and you have to be somebody’s role model.
2. Focus on the relationship with yourself.
Despite the pressure to prioritize others, take time to be with yourself. Read a book, meditate, watch television, go for walks and most importantly, always check on your feelings. Taking time to reflect on yourself can prevent a lot of things including depression.
3. Be ambitious; the bottom is overcrowded.
Aim for the top and stop being comfortable in the crowd. Truth be told, this is when you should start building a career for yourself. Maybe you can start your own small company or business because at this time; there is no guarantee that you’ll have a job once you are done with school.
4. No one cares.
This is probably the most important thing every person in their twenties needs to learn. The only people who care about you are your parents, even your friends might not care. Live your life truly and don’t fake in order to fit in. Everyone is different and so are their stories.
