Deputy President William Ruto has appealed to youths to rethink about their career choices as they pursue their dreams.

Speaking on Tuesday in Tongaren, Bungoma County, DP Ruto said that there are endless opportunities for the youths who think outside the box.

He reminded the youth of this nation to embrace Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) so that they can have skills to help them achieve their desires in life.

The second in command noted that the empowerment of the youth is among the Big Four Agenda, adding that the Jubilee government is dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of Kenyans before the end of its term in office.

He also said that the government has been putting in place different measures to ensure job creation for youths in different fields of knowledge.

“The best way to ensure youths have jobs is to ensure we have programmes that can create jobs and at the same time have a plan to prepare youth to be able to do the jobs that will be created,” he said.

The DP was accompanied by various leaders including Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka, Deputy Governors Joash Maangi (Kisii) and Ngome Kibanani (Bungoma) and MP Kimani Ichungwa during the tour in the Western region where he camped on Tuesday.
