The Deputy President William Ruto on Monday inspected the construction of roads in Manyanja and Spine Roads in Kayole, Embakasi Central, Nairobi County.
According to the Deputy President, good infrastructure particularly quality roads reduces the labour spent in jams by ensuring smooth flow of traffic. He also added that such good infrastructure not only ensures the safety of those on the road but also attracts investors.
"Good infrastructure, including quality roads, cycle paths and pedestrian walkways, ensures the smooth flow of traffic, reducing man-hours spent in jams. It enhances the safety and security of road users and attracts investors," DP Ruto wrote on Twitter.
The DP also visited a site in Kayole where the government plans to build a public school worth Sh20 million. Ruto pointed out that construction of the school will enhance access to quality education while at the same time managing overpopulation in other schools in the area.
"The Government will make available Sh20m to construct a public school with adequate learning facilities in Kayole, Nairobi County. This will enhance access to education, foster quality learning and decongest the student population in other schools in the area," DP Ruto twitted.
The visit to the site of the construction of the school came shortly after checked on the pupils who were involved in a tragic accident at Precious Talent School after a wall fell on them.
