Those undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party boss Raila Odinga union are in for a shock, Makadara MP George Aladwa has said.
Speaking on Saturday, Aladwa claimed that the duo could come up with a major alliance ahead of the 2022 polls, one which will hit the nation by storm in the and highly influence the polls.
Aladwa, a close ally of Raila, stated that the alliance will emanate from the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) supported by the two, which he said will shake the political arena.
"Raila and Uhuru are together, a major party is coming out of the BBI and it will push people. The looming alliance will be a major one, this is a tsunami (Raila na Uhuru wameshikana na kuna chama inakuja kubwa kwa hii BBI na itasukuma watu. Ile muungano inakuja ni kali, hii ni tsunami)," he said.
The MP spoke on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi on Saturday morning.
He therefore warned people against dismissing the Union and good relationship being shared between the two currently, again pointing out that its not about Raila Odinga.
According to Aladwa, it's not a must that Raila becomes the president, but giving the nation the leadership it deserved going forward, suggesting that the two share the same view on this one.
"Raila might not be president, but what is coming will not be a joke (Raila anaweza kosa kuwa president 2022 lakini ile siasa inakuja hapa mbele sio ya mchezo)," he added.
His remarks come at a time when Raila remains silent on his 2022 plans, after four futile presidential bids.
