This comes amid sharp division between area leaders allied to the rival Kieleweke and Tangatanga factions, with the two factions repeatedly engaging each other in verbal fights.

According to the MP, the situation has everything to do with the 2022 elections, where politicians are confused on how to conduct themselves since the region won't have a candidate.

He says that the leaders are torn between supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta out of loyalty and his deputy William Ruto who appears like a frontrunner in the race, to ensure that they remain part of government post 2022.

"The first reason is the Uhuru succession, they are aware that he is on his way out and don't have a replacement (Kitu ya kwanza ni Uhuru succession, wanaona Uhuru anaenda na replacement hakuna)," he said.

The MP made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Wednesday night.

The second ailment, he said, is lack of wisdom among members of the warring parties, noting that they have been blindly tearing into each other without considering the consequences.

"The second one is lack of wisdom, they are blindly fighting (Ya pili ni lack of wisdom, wanapigana tu bila ya kuangalia)," he added.

The fight would go a notch higher on Sunday when Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro of Tangatanga almost fought Kieleweke's nominated MP Maina Kamanda during a church harambee in Kiharu.
