Soy MP Caleb Kositany has ridiculed ODM leader Raila Odinga after visiting Galana-Kulalu irrigation project.
Raila visited Galana on Thursday where he said that is impressed by the efforts put to revive the project.
"I visited the Galana Model Farm Project in Tana River County which seeks to use a different model to revive the Galana Kulalu irrigation scheme," noted Raila.
The sentiments irked Kositany who mocked Raila for changing tune over the project he once criticised in the past.
According to Kositany, President Uhuru Kenyatta deliberately sent him to the site where the project was being implemented in order for him (Raila) to confirm that the implementation was indeed on course.
Kositany, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto said that the president was becoming 'smart' by ensuring that he dispatched him to the site to verify whether the project was a 'white elephant' or not.
He faulted the opposition chief for claiming at a press conference in the past that the initiative was a 'white elephant' and therefore, a waste of resources.
"Uhuru is smart, he had you taken there to see that it was not a white elephant as you had said in a certain press conference," he tweeted.
Galana-Kulalu irrigation scheme is situated in Tana River County.
