The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM)party has sued the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Nation Breaking News on Monday revealed that ODM sued IEBC because the electoral body had refused to avail them with the voter's register that will be used in Kibra during the parliamentary by-elections.
ODM had asked for the Kibra voter register for inspection and verification.
Last week, the electoral body released a notice showing how voters are distributed in the Kibra constituency.
According to the notice, 118,658 registered voters will vote in the coming by-elections.
17,455 voters come registered in Laini Saba, 16,688 voters registered in Lindi, 25,695 registered in Makina, 28,066 voters registered in Woodley/ Kenyatta Golf Course while 30,754 voters registered in Sarangombe.
ODM's move to sue the electoral body comes just two days to the election day.
Kibra residents will be voting on 7 November this year at various polling stations.
Various candidates have been lined up for the parliamentary seat. Top favorite candidates include Jubilee party candidate McDonald Mariga, ODM party candidate Imran Okoth, and Amani National Congress (ANC) party candidate Eliud Owalo.
IEBC pointed out that campaigns in Kibra will end today, Monday at 6 pm.
Anybody or any party found campaigning past this time will be punished accordingly.
