Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has blasted Central Organization of Trade Union (Cotu) secretary-general Francis Atwoli after he threw away his expensive phone during Citizen TV's JKL Show on Wednesday night.
Atwoli, who was the guest during JKL show took out his phone from his pocket, switched it off then threw it away.
This came after Jeff Koinange, the TV show host asked him to switch off his phone because someone was calling him while on a live show.
The incidence has attracted mixed reactions from netizens, with some attacking the trade union leader for showing off while others wishing that was their phone.
However, Murkomen, the Majority Leader of the Senate claimed that Atwoli did it knowing that he will easily get another one from the worker's union.
''What are you complaining about? Workers will pay,'' said the vocal Senator in a tweet.
Atwoli's love for high-end items, from phones, rings, clothes, watches, and shoes at his age has had many attacking him.
Being a great critic of Deputy President William Ruto and his allies including Murkomen has also been landing him in online wars with the Tangatanga group members.
In his interview, Atwoli noted that Ruto has bad advisers who mislead him.
