The goodies were delivered on Thursday during the centre's graduation ceremony.

Some of the equipment donated include computers, sewing machines and beauty and therapy machines.

Speaking during the graduation event, Garissa County Assembly Leader of Majority Gabow Mohammed who was the chief guest thanked the Foundation for supporting the institution. He, however, challenged the local leadership to support the graduands by creating opportunities that will enable them to use the acquired skills.

"Many of our youths leave this town for other places in search of better opportunities. It is our duty to support them by creating avenues for them to showcase their skills," Gabow said.

County Education CEC Habiba Nasib who was also in attendance appealed to partner organisations to support the youths in realising their dreams.

"These youths have graduated, yes. But they may not realise their dreams without the necessary support. I am now appealing to all partner organisations to take the challenge and help these youths," Habiba stated.

During the ceremony, at least 100 students graduated after undergoing rigorous vocational training.

Among the local leaders who attended the function include Deputy County Secretary Abdirashid Hussein and Bura MCA Abdullahi Omar among others.
