Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has claimed that the Gender Bill might lead to the creation of a Prime Minister position that will be occupied by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
In a YouTube video under the fifth estate, Mutahi stated that failure to pass the bill may lead to the dissolution of parliament by President Kenyatta.
"If parliament is dissolved, a by-election for the 300 MPS must be held. This election will be held at the same time as the referendum to save on costs," Mutahi said.
He pointed out that the dissolution will open room for an opinion poll.
"Uhuru and Raila will use this window to do a referendum that makes Raila the ceremonial President and Uhuru the Executive Prime Minister,” he said.
The controversial analyst said that it might be a wider scheme to alter the country’s leadership before the 2022 general election.
"If this happens, there will be no 2022. But because Kenyans are very slow, they will only understand the scheme after it has happened," he added.
Mutahi noted that the bill offers sufficient ground to terminate the legislators' tenure after passing 47 out 48 mandatory legislation as required.
