Ruto spoke during this year’s edition of the National Prayer Day at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi shortly after the events main Speaker, Lord Michael Hastings had indicated that his Country, the UK was in dire need of a new Prime Minister after Theresa May recently announced that she will leave the PM’s position on June 07.

“You might have noticed that we have political turbulence back at home and we are just wondering if you have a spare Prime Minister around,” said Hastings amid laughter from those present among them President Uhuru Kenyatta and his South Sudan counterpart Salva Kiir.

When Ruto rose to speak, he said that Hastings request for a Prime Minister was well received and that Kenya was willing to help.

“And because you have been good to us, your request for a Prime Minister, we have retired one in Kenya and since the constitution has abolished the position of Prime minister in Kenya, so he may not have it any time soon so we will send you his CV,” said the DP amid another round of laughter from those in attendance.

Odinga who served as Kenya’s PM between 2008 and 2013 did not attend the Prayer day since he was away in Ethiopia.
