Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has said that his presidential ambitions still stand and must be realized.
The youthful lawmaker has been toying with the idea of vying for the top seat in the 2027 general elections.
In a Facebook post on Monday, he claimed that he will kick off preparations to realize the same by sponsoring candidates across the nation in the forthcoming 2022 polls.
He claimed that his plan includes ensuring that they win, which he seeks to use to strengthen his bid, and hopes to maximize on to make the realization of his bid easier.
"I will have candidates across the country that I will sponsor in 2022 elections and ensure that they win in preparation for my presidential bid in 2027. Zoea rais wako mapema (get used to your president early)," he said.
As of 2022, the leader has repeatedly declared that he will be fully behind the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga.
However, Raila who lost to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 polls is yet to declare whether or not he will be taking his fourth stab at the top slot.
Owino, also a member of the ODM party, is serving his first term in Parliament, after years of representing university students.
