Economist David Ndii has yet again dismissed the Building Bridges Initiative report as a political tool between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The report on Tuesday presented to Uhuru and Raila, over 18 months after they agreed to bury the hatchet after long periods of political violence.
For that period, the two have been asking Kenyans to wait for the recommendations by the team which Odinga has often said 'will give birth to a new Kenya'.
Ndii, who served as Mr Odinga's advisor in the last polls, on Tuesday insisted that BBI will preserve power for the two leaders.
"Partisanship is in order because BBI is an Uhuru-Raila self preservation political project. To construe it as national interest is to fall into diversionary strategy. No one gave them a mandate," he tweeted.
Ndii is a fierce critic of President Uhuru Kenyatta and has often accused him of mismanagement of the economy for several years now.
Last week, Uhuru asked Kenyans to wait for the report before criticising it. He wondered why some leaders were opposing before its launch.
“There are some characters who poke holes into the report yet they are not privy to what is contained inside,” he said.
“Let us just take time and read through it together and to come out with good things that can make our country even better, more united and that make our institutions more inclusive,” he said.
