Furious Nyacheki market traders have attacked incompetent ODM allied Governor James Ongwae.
The traders have vowed not to pay tax to the corrupt county government citing poor market conditions.
"We are not going to pay taxes anymore to Ongwae's corrupt government until the state of the market is improved. Toilets must be constructed for us and customers to use and improve drainage at the facility before we can resume paying levies," said a trader Joseph Mochama on Monday at the market.
According to the traders, Ongwae's government has been giving false promises to traders.
"The county government promised to build a modern market before the end of the financial year but, that seems not to be the agenda. Ongwae will only step at the market once the state of the market has been improved failure to which we will chase him away," noted Patrick Omoke.
Gladys Nyaboke regretted voting Governor Ongwae and his Deputy Joash Maangi during the last year's polls.
"I voted Ongwae knowing he will help traders and improve the business environment but, what I am seeing is the opposite. I am sorry I elected a failure as governor," she noted.
