Kisii County Woman Representative Janet Ong'era has hinted at running for Kisii gubernatorial seat in 2022.

Speaking on Saturday when she addressed residents of Bobasi Bogetaorio,Ong'era said; "I am a woman but that does not bar me from chasing my dreams. The governor's seat does not belong to men only. I am positioning myself well in readiness to give other gubernatorial aspirants in 2022 a run for their money." 

She expressed confidence that she will get support from women and youths across the county to become the first woman to hold the seat in the county.

Ong'era defended her track record since she was elected as county MP arguing that she will not listen to her political enemies who are opposed to her leadership. 

She maintained that she has been using the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) to empower women, youths across the county. 

"I am a person of integrity as well accountable because I have been using the Affirmative funds well. I  have no doubt if elected governor I will deliver. Kisii electorates need to give support to women venturing into leadership roles," noted the Woman Rep.
