Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has taken a swipe at former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe in the increasingly controversial Uhuru succession debate.
Constitutionally, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to exit the stage in 2022 thus ongoing realignments for his succession.
In an interview, Murathe had said that President Uhuru should not retire, adding that he should stay around for a while.
According to Murathe, Uhuru should run for a strong Prime Minister post, which he said should be created before 2022.
"Kwani Uhuru anaenda wapi? (Where is Uhuru going?), Uhuru is going nowhere. He is going to be here even if he stops being president," he said in an interview with Citizen TV.
But in a sarcastic message, Mr Kuria top off Murathe, arguing that he's being sent to communicate instead of State House using official channels.
"I envy my good friend David Murathe. His job is to deliver the message Kanze Dena will not. And he does it in two 45 seconds pronouncements every year and his job is done for the year. Dang! Lucky young man," he said.
