Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo has confirmed his readiness to succeed his boss Governor John Nyagarama in 2022.
Nyaribo who is serving his second term as Deputy Governor, said Nyamira residents should consider him for the governorship position because he has all it takes to be the next county boss once Nyagarama exits office in 2022.
"I will have no difficulties running the county because for 7 years now I have been the Deputy Governor advising Nyagarama accordingly on matters leadership," said Nyaribo.
The Deputy Governor however, was categorical that he will only serve as governor for only 5 years.
"If Nyamira people accepts to give the opportunity to serve them as governor I will only serve for five years and if they can't give me a chance I am ready to retire and go to cultivate cabbages in my farm," said the Deputy Governor.
He assured that he is a life member of ODM Party the party. He joined ODM due to the democracy and transparency in the Raila Odinga led Party.
Nyaribo maintained that he believes in democracy in leadership and not politics based on handouts and hatred.
The DG was speaking during an interview with Minto FM on Tuesday.
