Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Ababu Namwamba on Wednesday launched the Huduma Namba registration in Juba, South Sudan as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta last month.
In a Facebook post, Namwamba said that the busy schedule in South Sudan did not bar him from commissioning the important exercise which kicked off in the diaspora on May, 6, 2019.
"Took time off my busy IGAD official business here in Juba to visit our Kenyan Embassy and officially launch Huduma Namba registration for Kenyans living in South Sudan," Ababu posted.
The former Budalangi MP affirmed government's commitment to deliver services to all Kenyans regardless of their locations in the world.
"Hosted at the embassy by Ambassador Chris Mburu who heads the mission here and other officers. All Kenyans matter wherever they live on the face of the earth and must be reached by government services," he added.
The Huduma Namba registration exercise was officially launched by President Kenyatta in April at Maasi, Machakos county.
The voluntary registration exercise is expected to come to an end on 18th May.
The government, has, however noted that the registration kits with remain with local administrators, to allow for future registration.
