The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) conducted a successful pupils council election in a primary school.
The exercise, which resembled the general election, was performed on Thursday at Eldamaravine Day and Boarding Primary School.
The school head Joseph Macharia King'ori acknowledged the work of IEBC officials revealing past elections caused chaos in the school.
He, therefore, saw a need for engaging services of the approved election body.
"Sometimes you wonder where this violence comes about because what we have witnessed people doing, they did campaigns, they went to the polls today and there were no cases of indiscipline related to the election," King'ori said.
He challenged other schools in Kenya to emulate the same for credibility and peacefulness of elections.
The Koibatek sub-county education officer David Toroitich hailed the process.
"This is a good example to other institutions in this sub-county and it is also good to ask other institutions to emulate this in future. I also ask the same IEBC to carry out the same in our institutions," he said.
