This happened on Wednesday night at Serengeti bar within Kisii town.

It is alleged that the man, James Oroti, took the prostitute into lodging, had sex but failed to pay Sh300 they had agreed.

“Oroti came into the bar and picked up the prostitute to have sex with her in undisclosed lodging. An hour later they re-appeared again and the prostitute started demanding for the money to buy a drink which Oroti failed to give,” said one of the bar attendants identified as Steve Mosori.

Mosori said a heated argument arose and the prostitute alerted her colleagues who arrived at the dance floor, frog-marched the man outside where they beat him up mercilessly.

“I saw 5 commercial sex workers roughing up Oroti before they kicked him out where they descended on him with kicks, blows, and bottles of beer they were holding on their hands accusing him of disrespecting the agreement they made with the prostitute before they left into the lodging facility,” he noted.

Boda boda riders who were parking outside rescued the money from the jaws of death. Charles Nyaming’ one of the riders said the commercial sex workers robbed the man his phone worth Sh9,500.

Nyaming’a said they took the victim to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital for treatment.
