'Punchline', a program that will seek to probe issues of national significance by interrogating public figures, is set to premiere this Sunday night with Anne Kiguta as the host.

Kiguta said that she would seek to uncover the DP's thinking and perspective on a bewildering array of issues, rejecting the view that she goes into such interviews with the intention of picking up fights.

This is not the first time that the television host will be taking the Deputy President head-on on national television.

She interviewed him about six years ago when she was an anchor at the Kenya Television Network (KTN).

Anne Kiguta is known for her tough questioning when interviewing public figures that some find too tough for their liking.

The interview comes amid the much-vaunted handshake and raging civil war in the governing Jubilee Party over the DPs 2022 presidential ambitions
