Migori Governor Okoth Obado has yet again taken a swipe at his unnamed opponents who he accuses of using BBI to bring him down.
There were claims that Obado was not party to Building Bridges Initiative organising team that comprises of Nyanza governors.
On Thursday, Obado yet again lashed out at his opponents, accusing them of spreading propaganda about his position on BBI.
“It is cheap and very wrong for some small politicians without clout to peddle lies claiming I don’t support BBI,” he said.
Speaking on Thursday in Migori when he flagged off 200 students who benefited from the Governor's Scholarship (Elimu kwa Wananchi) Programme to join their respective secondary schools, Obado told leaders to shun politics of brinkmanship and instead preach unity.
“It is sad that even before I speak, some leaders are already in my mind and know what I support and that which I don’t support. This is so bad,” he said.
Dressed casually on Friday, Obado joined Governors Anyang' Nyong'o, John Nyagarama, Amoth Rasanga, James Ongwae and Cyprian Awiti at Kisii Sports club.
The leaders are expected to usher in ODM leader Raila Odinga who is set to lead the region in discussing Building Bridges Initiative report.Obado dismisses claims he is opposing BBI
