Renowned lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has hit out at the Supreme Court of Kenya, terming it 'rotten and inefficient'.
Reacting to a report on transformation in the Judiciary, the Senior Counsel claimed the current Supreme Court is unfit to serve Kenyans.
He claimed that the reports indicating positive transformation in the judiciary were fake, adding Chief Justice David Maraga shoul sdtop releasing them.
"The CJ has a constitutional duty of candour to the people of Kenya...Please stop releasing this fake/poorly written/false/self serving rosy reports about the Judiciary...our courts especially the Supreme court is rotten to the core, inefficient and not fit for purpose," he tweeted.
On Friday, CJ Maraga divulged that under his leadership, the judiciary was making great strides especially in improving service delivery.
"This afternoon, I received the status report on the implementation of the Sustaining Judiciary Transformation (SJT) blueprint from the Implementation and Monitoring Committee headed by DCJ Philomena Mwilu. We've made great strides in improving service delivery in the Judiciary," Maraga tweeted.
In March this year, Ahmednasir filed a petition at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), seeking for removal of four Supreme Court judges over alleged corruption.
He claimed the judges had been bribed, to rule in a particular way.
