ODM leader Raila Odinga's wife Ida Odinga has vouched for creative solutions in the education sector.
In a tweet on Friday, while officially opening the Creative and Innovations Hub in Rongo as the chief guest, Mama Ida contended that the changing world has made it necessary for outside-the-box approaches to social problems to be explored.
She said that innovation hubs, like the one she had inaugurated, were playing their part in bringing about that creative approach to the array of social problems that human beings are grappling with.
Mama Ida went on to say that learning should not just be allowed to happen in classrooms but outside it.
"In today’s world Hubs similar to the ones launched here in Rongo are coming up with solutions to social problems and ways to make the human being more efficient. We should therefore not constrict learning to the confines of classrooms but push ourselves to think outside the box," she said in a tweet.
The Rongo Creative and Inovations Hub will act as an incubator of innovative ideas that the young people have and help them come up with creative ideas.
Ida Odinga's words are consistent with the idea behind the Competent Based Curriculum aimed at making pupils and students more innovative.
