Eldoret-based photographer Erick Onchangwa has claimed that police are dragging a case in which robbers broke into his studio at Komora Business Centre in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County on Sunday morning.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Onchangwa claimed police had not yet obtained CCTV footage from the building despite the fact that he had reported the case on Sunday.
"Police have not yet come to check the CCTV footage (ata hawajacome kuona cctv) and I reported the case on Sunday," Onchangwa said.
According to a report by Citizen TV, the two robbers can be seen on a CCTV footage breaking into the studio and then later on attempting to destroy the CCCTV camera.
One question that however stood out in the case is where the security guards manning the premises were at the time of the robbery.
Onchangwa noted that the owner of the building was yet to explain the absence of the security guards during the robbery.
"The owner of the building is not ready to explain where the security guards were all that time the shop was being broken into," Onchangwa stated.
The photographer who is a former Moi University student called for speedy investigations into the case.
