Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has waded into the multi-million property war involving the family of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
Raila's wife, Ida Odinga and her daughter, Winnie, are seeking for grant of representative in the estate of her eldest son Fidel Odinga who passed on in January 2015.
Fidel's widow, Lwam Bekele, has objected the application arguing her son should be the only heir of her late husband's property.
Ida and Winnie claim Fidel had twins with another woman, and have applied to have them co-share the estate with Lwam's son.
On Wednesday, High Court Justice Aggrey Muchelule ordered a DNA test on the twins before proceeding with the succession case.
However, according to Miguna, it is only the twin's mother who can apply to have the minors benefit from Fidel's property, and not members of Odinga's family.
The lawyer turned politician further wondered whether the ODM boss will exhume the body of his late son to get the DNA following the court's ruling.
"If Fidel Odinga had twins out of wedlock with another woman, it is that woman who can apply to the court for the benefits her children might be entitled to; not Raila Odinga, Ida or Winnie. Lastly, will Raila exhume Fidel's body to get DNA over property?" Miguna tweeted.
Fidel was found dead on the morning of January 4, 2015, at his home in Karen, Nairobi after a night out with friends.
