Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura has said that it is clear that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are not speaking in the same voice anymore.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Monday, Mwaura said that the current twist of events in the Jubilee Party is a clear indication that something is wrong somewhere.
He argued that Jubilee used to sing the same song until the handshake. The lawmaker noted that things have never been the same again in the party since President Kenyatta agreed to work with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Amolo Odinga.
“It is clear that Jubilee is divided in 2 & the party is over, we are just hanging by boot straps. Jubilee was never a party; it was some name, a song & 2/3 colors,” he said.
The remarks come after Ruto dismissed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) tours across the nation. The second in command said that the tours are a waste of time and money.
He said that the government can use the cash to fund better projects than BBI.
“What are all these campaigns for? Who do they want to persuade? Is it a way of misusing government resources?” Ruto asked.
