Women are mostly challenged after being married on whether they should change their surname to their husbands'.
It appears difficult to leave the name she has been using for a long period to another name in just one day and which she will use the rest of her life. Some of the women do not prefer to change their names.
This is why as a woman, you should change your surname:
1. It is easier to be addressed
People will find it easier to identify you with your surname. Since you are a couple, people will not have difficulties in calling each by their names but as Mr and Mrs so and so.
2. You become part of his family
Changing your surname to your husband's makes you a part of his family, you stand a chance to be recognized as a member and enjoy the pleasure of being in that family.
3. Gives you a sense of belonging
Being married to the person you truly love and having your names joined with theirs gives you joy and fulfilment that comforts you that nothing will make the two part ways unless its death. This helps you in feeling you only belong to him and him to you only.
Changing your surname to your husbands will not confuse your children on which name to adopt. Choosing the name from the two partners can cause conflicts and fights disrupting the peace in your marriage.
