The dust embedded in the region along Kisii and Mosocho region where a road that was under construction stalled, has escalated the political differences between the Kitutu Chache South Mp Richard Momoima and Kisii Governor James Ongwae.
In a report that was given out from the County government about the situation along the Kisii-Oyugis road, it indicated that the situation was politicized and someone wanted to mop his political sins for his selfish political ambitions. The indication was, there was a politician on the ground fueling the youths to riot.
After Momoima escorted the youths who slammed the county commissioner Geoffrey Kegochi's office, he finally addressed journalists telling off Ongwae.
He condemned Ongwae's administration and linked his bad leadership, bribery, and act of stealing to the woes facing the residents in the region affected by the dust. He, therefore, told Ongwae that, about the situation, it is the nonsense they need to fix in the county.
"Even the president is coming here next week. I want to personally tell him not to use the road. This is the nonsense we want to fix in this county,” Momoima said.
"If something is to be done let it be done in the right way. Some leaders are investing in stealing, bribery, and bad leadership. This has made it impossible for me to settle down in peace at my house. We will close down the road, come what may!” he added.
