Senior Counsel Ahmednassir Abdullahi has expressed disappointment in Chief Justice David Maraga.
The lawyer reacted to Maraga's Monday press conference in Nairobi where he highlighted a number of issues affecting him in his work.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Ahmednasir said that the CJ has taken issues with 'small things' affecting him instead of pointing out things affecting the Judiciary at large.
''I am SUPREMELY disappointed with CJ Maraga..the judiciary faces an Almighty onslaught from the executive and corrupt judges, yet his complaint is about Mercedes-AMG, right to overlap in a traffic jams (sic), seating arrangements during public holidays, who is cleared to enter State House,'' said Ahmednasir.
Maraga accused the Executive of demeaning his office, the Judiciary, yet it is an important arm of government.
He further accused the Executive of trying to cut the budget allocation for the Judiciary.
He pointed out that funds must be released to facilitate various functions of the Judiciary.
The CJ, whose car got an accident had applied for another Mercedes but was denied. He protested not being allocated the car yet the Speakers of the National Assembly and Senate are driven in Mercedes.
