Kigochi while speaking on Monday in his office said the recruitment process was free and fair.

"Qualified and graduate youths were selected for the position of ICT managers, content managers and enumerators. The claims that the process favoured some few individuals are untrue and I urge members of the public to ignore such false information being peddled on social media," said Kigichi.

According to the commissioner, the vacancies were not enough for all the youths to be awarded adding that youths who have threatened to boycott census should not do so.

He called on residents to ensure they are enumerated for the government to plan on quality service delivery.

"Residents need not boycott the census programme because it will help the government plan on quality service delivery. I urge youths who did not make it in the recruitment to stop misleading the public," added Kigochi.

The county security boss contented that those who have been recruited will undergo thorough training to equip them ahead of the exercise.

He also warned local politicians against inciting youths to insult elected leaders on grounds that the elected leaders interfered with the recruitment process.
