Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo has poked holes in the Punguza Mizigo Proposals.
In an interview on NTV on Tuesday, the lawmaker said that the proposals look good from far but they are indeed far from good.
She noted that the problems facing this nation are far much beyond the proposals in the bill fronted by Former President Candidate Ekuro Aukot.
She compared the situation to a case of a man who promises a woman a sewing machine and ends up presenting her with a needle.
The lawmaker said that some of the proposals are good but they will not change the state of affairs of the country at the end of the day.
"Punguza Mizigo reminds me of a poem where a woman who said my husband went to Nairobi, he promised her a sewing machine but sent her a needle instead," she said.
She also divulged that the Thirdway Alliance Leader should remember that the process of changing a constitution involves legal and poiitical issues.
She insisted that the aspects cannot be separated under any circumstances.
"We have to be alive to the fact that the constitutional making process is both legal and political so you cannot divorce politics from it," she added.
