The team has signed six players in the recent past, most of them from Awendo-based Sony Sugar.

All Stars has roped in the services of striker Steve Otieno, midfielder Maxwell Otieno and defenders Jeconia Ogendo and Patrick Ochieng all from Sony Sugar.

It has also signed striker Mark Kwasira Wachira from Mombasa-based Modern Coast Rangers, and midfielder Martin Oduor from Western Stima.

“Another Blue Eagle ready to strike. Welcome Steve Otieno,” Kisumu All Stars announced last week.

The team will open its 2019/2020 league campaign against Ulinzi Stars in Kisumu on August 31.

It was promoted to the Kenya Premier League last season, after finishing second in the second-tier National Super League (NSL) behind Champions Wazito FC.

In an interview, last month, Kisumu All Stars Team manager Alfred Adu said their target ahead of the maiden season in KPL is to retain their KPL status.

“Our target is to maintain our league status. We are sure we will remain in KPL at the end of the season. There’s no doubt about that,” Adu said in an interview with Hivisasa.
