President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday woke up with one request to Kenyans.
As the fight on those who loot public coffers go on, Kenyatta asked all Kenyans to support him on the war.
“Wakenya wenzangu, the war against corruption and economic crimes is about the wellbeing of our Republic. Let's all join hands and vigorously fight this vice,” the President said on his official Facebook page.
The head of state made the request as reports indicate that he is planning a reshuffle of his government to weed out all those who have been implicated in graft.
His super Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has also been mentioned in the Ruaraka land scandal where the government might have spent a whopping Sh1.5 billion to buy its own land.
According to a report tabled by Education CS Amina Mohammed, the land bought was already a public land.
National Land Commission chairman Mohammed Swazuri, however, brought a new twist to the whole saga when he claimed cartels are targeting Matiang’i in the whole issue to taint his image.
These might be the obstacles Kenyatta is facing while trying to slay the dragon that is graft in the country hence asking all Kenyans to join him in the war.
