Speaking in Makutano, Musau said he has no such plans, adding that those pushing him for the seat should stop.

"That's why I said those pushing me to vie for governorship should stop because I have no such plans. I still want to be a priest and give out sacraments instead of becoming a bishop," said Musau.

Musau said he is carefully trying to know which way to take in 2022, without making decisions hurriedly.

"I have seen some governors who are in their second term getting stressed because they don't want to quit politics, but don't know which seat to vie next. You won't be surprised to see some governors vying for smaller seats," he said.

On matters national politics, Musau said Deputy President William Ruto is still the popular candidate in the 2022 presidential contest.

He called for a coalition between Deputy President William Ruto and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

"60% of Kenyans think that Ruto could be the next president followed by Raila, Kalonzo, and others," he said.
