Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho lauded Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed over his loyalty to ODM boss Raila Odinga.
Speaking when he hosted the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Mombasa on Sunday, the governor said that Junet has been simply following Raila's orders without any questions.
He said that the same manifested itself when Raila sought to rally his allies behind his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta, at a time when some members were rejecting the truce.
For Junet, he said, he only follows what he is told, wondering what Raila has given him for him to act in such a manner.
"There are others who just follow instructions, I was in those talks and there is this young man called Junet Mohammed, I don't know what Raila has given him because if told left its left, if told right its right. I don't know if he is here, is he here?"( Na kuna wengine wale wanafuata amri tu. Nilikuwa katika hayo mazungumzo, kuna yule kijana anaitwa Junet Mohammed yule, I don't know what Raila has given him, akiambiwa left left, right right. Sijui yuko hapa Junet? Yuko?) said Joho amid laughter.
Junet who is the ODM Director of Elections has over the past few years risen to become one of Raila's closest political allies, and was even with him during the March 2018 truce with Uhuru.
He at some point found himself in police custody over claims of making hateful remarks against those opposed to the former Premier.
