Speaking in Machakos after visiting several high schools in the town Magoha said that every child is entitled to education.

"I want to encourage all other headteachers in the country including my brother Khai Induli that any child that presents him/herself should not be turned back," said Magoha.

"I was informed of a student who was turned back from a school but we sorted the issue this morning and the child is going back to school. One two or even more children without fees will not take down your school. I keep saying it's a government child in a government school," he added.

Magoha lauded Machakos School forcing up with a trust fund meant to benefit needy students.

"Last year they came up with sh.500,000. Each teacher pays sh.200 per month towards a kind of trust fund for poor children and they should be thoroughly commended. This is an example that should be encouraged nationwide," said Magoha.

He stated that the process of 100 percent transition was going on well in many schools. He urged parents to ensure they take their children to school on the required day.
