A governor has threatened to sell a county refferal hospital after clashing with Members of the County Assembly.
Trans-Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba now wants residents to give him the go-ahead to sell the multi-million facility.
This after MCAs slashed allocations proposed for its completion.
“I’m tired over these baseless claims of corruption and political witch-hunt. I want to ask residents to allow me sell the facility and return the money to the public,” said Khaemba.
The county boss has ordered speaker Joshua Werunga to form a special team to conduct cost audit of the projects.
MCAs are said to havê lowered the budget of the facility from Sh330 million to Sh200 million.
He has argued that political witch-hunt is responsible for his frustrations.
He said he is ready to return the Sh800 million that have been used in the project.
