There was shock at Chulaimbo in Kisumu County after a man discovered what he alleged to be human male genitals from the roof of the house his house on Sunday morning.
Japheth Omollo, the owner of the homestead said that he saw the body parts as he was preparing to take his goats to the grazing field.
“I was preparing to take goats to the field. At first, I thought it was garbage before I realised it was male genitals. My wife was very scared when I called her to see. I don’t know how long they have been there,” said Japheth.
The remains were, however, dry and no one could discern when and how they got onto the roof of the house.
No one understands why, how and when they were disposed onto the roof although a section of the residents believe it might be witchcraft.
“It looks like it was cut from the corpse. This is witchcraft. The occupants of this home must be very keen,” said Linet Akinyi, one of the residents.
The parts were withdrawn from the rooftop, packaged into polythene and handed to the authorities.
The area sub-chief Kevin Ogomo urged the residents to report probable suspects to the relevant authorities for immediate action.
“If you know someone who can do this, report him. They will harm us all. We are following up with this one though. If we find someone who is responsible or connected to this, we will let you know,” said the sub-chief.
