Renowned journalist and socio-political commentator David Makali has described Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi as spineless.
In a tweet on Sunday reacting to Mudavadi's interview on the 'Punchline' program hosted by Anne Kiguta, Makali held the rather unflattering view that the former vice president lacked the confidence of pronouncing himself on issues.
He went on to say that Mudavadi was too cautious when it comes to taking on those he thinks are wrong.
"Musalia comes off as too mild and moderate for the radical leader and changes required to lead Kenya to the future. He is spineless when it comes to critical decisions. Not categorical on anything and too guarded to lead an offensive against those he perceives to be wrong," David Makali tweeted.
Makali's blistering criticism of the ANC boss is consistent with those of Mudavadi's detractors.
Mudavadi is seen by a section of Kenyans as not being as vocal as he should be like other politicians, with some interpreting his demeanor as timidity.
He has, however, made it clear that he will throw his hat in the 2022 presidential contest.
His newly released autobiography being serialised in the local dailies has touched off a firestorm of comments on social media platforms, dividing opinion.
