Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has predicted the imminent collapse of the Tanga Tanga brigade which has been campaigning for Deputy President William Ruto.
A group of MPs allied to Ruto from both Kisii and Nyamira counties have intensified their campaigns in the region, a move that has put them at loggerheads with those backing Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, Bosire said the ODM team will not waste time 'attacking' the team because they 'don't have any known philosophy'.
He argued that the region is fully behind ODM leader Raila Odinga, adding that residents 'will not be hoodwinked' with non-existing projects.
"That group doesn't really need our input for it to be extinct. They don't have any known philosophy and they will die a natural death," he said.
"We cannot be hoodwinked with non-existent projects by Tanga Tanga. This is a strategy that cannot sway ODM," added the ODM treasurer.
DP Ruto visited Nyamira twice in October to hold fundraisers for several groups. He was snubbed by a number of leaders from the region among them Governor John Nyagarama.
Matiang'i is said to be courting local leaders from both Jubilee and ODM, with reports indicating that he could go for a national seat in 2022.
Politicians from the region who have declared support for Ruto include Joash Nyamoko, Shadrack Mose, Vincent Kemosi, Ezekiel Machogu, Joash Maangi among others.
