Kisii County Women Representative Janet Ong'era has accused police officers in Kenyenya for failing to apprehend Elvinah Moracha's killer.
Elvinah, a form four student was killed two weeks ago and her body dumped a fishpond by a person suspected to be her ex-boyfriend.
"It is sad that until today, police officers are yet make arrest following the brutal killing of Elvinah Moracha whose life was cut short. Interior CS Fred Matiang'i and Inspector General police Joseph Boinnet must intervene for the lazy officers to apprehend Elvinah's ex-boyfriend who is suspected to have killed her," she said on Saturday in Kisii town.
She said justice must be served to the deceased family by prosecuting the killer.
The ODM allied MP said Kenyenya police boss Isaac Thuranira has until tomorrow, Monday to bring the suspect into book.
The lawmaker insisted that school girls should stop entering into relationships with old men just because of money.
"School girls should concentrate on studies and avoid entering into illicit love relationships with men who may end up eliminating them," she stated.
